Title
Owls
Subject
Five-stage woodblock print; Jessie Wilber
Description
30" by 15" five-stage woodblock print, showing Wilber's process. Here she carved several layers of woodblocks, and using earth tones, she plays with the idea of the human gaze. The owl stares at the viewer blatantly, challenging the notion of "bird watching."
